About Us

Welcome to NYC’s favorite classic pub restaurant, serving up the classics on the corner of 63rd and 1st!

Why drop in for drinks and a meal at one of New York’s most historic pubs? As the world’s greatest detective might say, the reasons are “Elementary, my dear!”

Named after Sherlock Holmes’ ragtag band of urban informants, Baker Street Irregulars is where locals and guests from around the world gather to swap stories, have a laugh, and celebrate good fortune.

Nestled snugly into the corner of 63rd and 1st, our legendary location was home to the first T.G.I. Friday’s back in 1965…which, as its founder once claimed, was the world’s “first singles bar!”

80s film buffs and Tom Cruise fans know our site’s exterior as the NYC bar where Cruise’s character lands his first bartending gig (and subsequently learns the art of the flair).

Today, Baker Street Irregulars is a family-friendly neighborhood sports bar where patrons come to enjoy our Irish pub-inspired comfort food and drinks in a relaxed, contemporary atmosphere. In summer, we open our walk-up coffee bar so busy patrons can grab drunk on the go!

As we embrace our community’s vibrant shared history, we’re proud to carry the torch and serve as a hub for happy times, nights out, and friendly faces. All are welcome here and we invite you to join us!
